Over the past few days I’ve been working on another ukulele tool which I’ve just pushed live this evening.
Nothing But Great Ukulele Chord Progressions is exactly that. It isn’t a million miles away from the last tool that I created (Find Ukulele Chords That Sound Great Together) but it is a little different.
The last tool was entirely based around the circle of fifths and it’s got it’s place but I could never really push it further without breaking it’s intended original use.
With Nothing But… I wanted a bank of ukulele chord progressions for players to try out when they need a little inspiration. It could be used for writing songs, learning from or simply just noodling around. However you want to use it.
This tool allows me to do more, there are no rules as to what chords it can show. It just shows good chord progressions. That can be 2 chords or it can be 10 (or more), it doesn’t matter. I can also add new progressions very rapidly. I’ve launched it with around 15 in place but realistically I’d like to bring that closer to a hundred. And that’s where I need some help…
Add Your Chord Progressions
If you have a chord progression that you simply love, just drop me an email or a tweet or a Facebook message or whatever with the chords on it and I can add it to the tool (and I’ll give you a shout out).

This tool is great! It’s so easy for beginner to intermediate players to get stuck playing only a handful of chords. Thanks for putting this together!

How much work would it be to add a baritone ukulele option? I’d pay for that option.

During FAWM (February Album Writing Month) someone recommended this tool and I used it time after time to write some news songs (often embellishing the suggested sequence of course).
