I tend to get a number of questions about the baritone sent to me which is great, the only issue is I don’t own a baritone ukulele (and I’ve actually never played one either).
Still, I wanted to compile some baritone ukulele resources for those that do play baritone or are interested in learning to play it.
Humble Baritonics
This is probably the best baritone specific site out there. Here you’ll find plenty of baritone specific tabs, tutorials and inspiring performances. It can be a little difficult to navigate your way around but just go with and get lost in the content.
OzBcoz
This is a huge songbook that has chords and songsheets for a massive amount of songs. The site has a filter that transposes for baritone so all the supporting chord boxes are correct.
PDF Minstrel
Roger Ruthen’s PDF Minstrel has a large amount of classical and traditional solo transcriptions PDF tabs. These include Celtic, bluegrass, hymns, renaissance and more.
Doctor Uke
A wealth of lessons, songs, theory and more. Almost everything here has a baritone equivalent. Just click BAR after the lesson name or song title to get the baritone material.
The Bad-Ass Baritone Ukulele
This one seems to be connected to Humble Baritonics. There are a number of video posts which have been compiled from around YouTube, some lessons, some performances.
Red Bluff Ukulele Club
Fresh out of Red Bluff, California, this site for the Red Bluff Ukulele Club has a nice collection of baritone song sheets.
Music Folk Play Hymns
Here you’ll find a pretty sizeable list of hymn arrangements for baritone ukulele. All in PDF format.
Hopefully this will be a resource that continues to grow and I’ll revisit it whenever I find anything that fits the bill. If you do know of anything that I’ve missed that would be worth including, either drop me a message in the comments or drop me an email.
Finally, for those that are really wanting to push their baritone ukulele skills, Terry Carter from Uke Like The Pros has a baritone ukulele course which costs just $77 and features over 35 video lessons with supporting backing tracks and downloadable song sheets.
I have BARITONE UKULELE love the tone after playing trying out other types of ukuleles.
Thank you very much for mentioning our site. We were quite tickled to see that you have us listed at all as a Baritone Ukulele resource. We have created quite a few new arrangements and are updating the site as often as we can. ~Mahalo
You’re welcome, I thought you had a good collection
