After the rip-roaring success of last weeks round-up (at least 4 people read it, although I was one of them). Here we go with another one…
Brian May released a concert ukulele which retails at a cool £195. It’s built to the design of the red special. I have no idea whether it’s any good or not.
Barry Maz (the World’s busiest uke blogger) created a great video showing beginners how to do a little bit of set-up work to help them make the most of their instruments.
Southern Ukulele Store put together a great in-depth look at the various different versions of Aquila strings that you can get your hands on. Very nice of them!
Not a new video but new to me, Peter Forrest shows us how to showboat with a ukulele – love this, especially the figure/finger 8 strum!
Following on from Barry’s video I found this video from American company The Ukulele Site about their setup process really interesting. Apparently they go through this process on all ukes that they sell (I’m guessing the don’t stock $20 ukes then!)
Cambridge based folk/pop band Edward Alice sent me their video Animals to take a look at. I like it, you don’t often see a melodica these days!
That’s all for this week. If I can get to the dizzy heights of 5 readers this week, I’ll be back next friday with more!
